Experimental and theoretical analysis of cracking and tension stiffening in <scp>UHPFRC</scp> under high‐cycle fatigue

Tension-stiffening controls the serviceability behavior of concrete structures as it is responsible for crack formation and, consequently, deflection beams. In fiber reinforced concrete, such ultra-high performance (UHPFRC), fibers bridge cracks and thereby transfer tensile stresses across cracked region, allowing to be carried by within region. Due being designed longer design lives, consideration long-term effects fatigue required. Much research has examined tension-stiffening under when subjected low cyclic loading, but very little considered high-cycle fatigue, especially UHPFRC. This paper presents results nine UHPFRC tests in which development varying ranges were studied. Specimens many 5.7 million cycles, readings taken during each test. The experimental demonstrate random nature cracking on well increase width loads. Finally, this described extension an existing partial-interaction mechanics model allow stress due high cycle fatigue.
